a short observation

If there’s one thing I noticed during this fasting month, it’s that most of the non-Muslims I know/meet/see seem to have this idea in their head that they can’t let those of us who are fasting see them eating or drinking at all, and take some frankly annoying steps to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with respecting those that are fasting (even if, in the case of yours truly, said people aren’t doing so particularly piously) but there comes to a point when it just gets silly, you know. No, there’s no need to profusely apologise when you happen to mention food. No, there’s no need to hide yourself behind a book or your bag whenever you decide you need to drink from your water bottle/that drink you just bought.

There’s really no need, you guys.
